i can probably post a few different threads on what went down today, but ill try to fit it all into one...here we go: Dyno Day In General: (ps, i may be off on exact tq #s for other people, but hp is right, and almost everyone tuned their car except don, eric, marshall, and andy) The morning started off around 9 am, with no snow at all on the ground,...awesome considering they were predicting 4"s! Show up there and my co-workers galant vr4 is on the rollers, he throws down a whopping 226rwhp! not bad for 125 compression, lol. :) we had only 3 z's dyno today, me, eric, and marshall...eric put down an impressive 300 rwhp and 297 rwtq...he will post his results im sure,...and marshall was also able to manage a very nice 339 rwhp...(i dont remember his tq)...ill post my results in the next paragraph....otherwise, we had a wrx lay down 241 rwhp, a subaru forester put out 216 rwhp... and dons rx7 lay down 334 rwhp...however, maybe at the cost of his second turbo :( the supras then came to bat, and represented well...the sp63 supra i worked on put down 476 rwhp and 413(?) rwtq..a t61 put down 507 rwhp and 417 rwtq (w/ slight vpc tuning) Dougs stock twins managed 391rwhp...and the most impressive was joes t78 supra w/ 600 rwhp and 554 rwtq!!! truly awesome car!! a lightning also dynoed...this one scared the shit out of me...i walked into the bay not knowing i was about to give myself a heart attack...once that thing got on it and that supercharger opens up...its the most unbelievable sound ever...vids will follow in the next day or so...MY Dyno run: I went into today expecting about 445rwhp, considering i last dynoed at 438rwhp and 461rwtq...and after a year of beating on it..i was expecting the same if not lower....boy was i wrong :) I was able to lay down 469 rwhp and 494 rwtq!!! ON PUMP GAS!!! and a solid 19 lbs of boost...i was sooooo happy....this was after some afc tuning of course...and i kept the a/f at a very conservative number..i dont have the sheets here as they are being scanned at someone elses house, but im pretty sure the a/f was 10.9 on my last run....also...you have to remember, i have STOCK manifolds still!!!...im almost afraid to pull the engine b/c its running so damn good...i think ill wait until its necessary to pull it to change them. So what kind of results do you get w/ this power ? well...me and paul (t-61) did some pulls on the highway on the way to the restaurant....first pull was from 45mph, and he just out drove me on this one...i lost....nothing but wheel spin for 2nd and a lot of 3rd....2nd pull we went from 65-160 and this was a much different story....DEAD EVEN...i mean...nobody was even able to pull a bumper length!! it was such an amazing race....ill have vids tomorrow most likely..if not, early this week. However...w/ this new power, and beating on it, i think i totally blew my tranny just about...it has a terrible whining while sitting at idle...as well as in every gear...if i press the clutch in thoguh, the sound goes away...o well...just get a new one :D So, thats just about it..im sure im leaving some stuff out, that eric, don, or marshall can point out...otherwise..thats it...time to change my sig #s now :D
